![]() Or make it where power can only go up to 2 on crossbows. Maybe add a new enchantment that goes up to 2 that's like power but doesn't insta-kill multiple mobs. As stated by someone else previously, the crossbow is primarily for crowd control and having it one-shot multiple mobs with multishot and piercing may be a bit much. Power, yeah crossbows should have it, but maybe not up to 5. Quite frankly arrows aren't hard to come by and with mob farms, the crafting recipe, and simply that it's mutually exclusive with mending, infinity just becomes obsolete. With piercing (as ling as it's not a gigantic group) you can retrieve the arrow 9 times outta 10. ![]() With multishot, you can aim such that only the side arrows hit mobs and whereas the middle does not. Having infinity would be OP such that you can basically have a down-graded version of this with piercing and multishot. If close enough you can kill multiple mobs too. I both agree and disagree with this thread:Īlthough using a crossbow without multishot and a 7-star firework still falls short of a bow, having multishot and the firework instakills mobs and works well for crowd control as well. that would make both weapons to come out since the release of the game with the bow and diamond sword to both be sub-par and just gimmicks. use insta health arrow and insta damage arrows and the bow oneshots almost everything while the crossbow takes 2 shots.Īlready had the problem with the trident doing no damage by not having a reliable damage enchant thus rarely being used in pvp or pve, the crow bow shouldnt end up like that. cross bow takes 2 hit to kill skeleton/creepers while it takes a bow with power v and flame a single hit, takes 3 hits to kill a zombie and a bow with power v and flame takes 2 hits first shot leaves it with half a heart then another shot or even a punch kills. ![]() Minecon 2018 ]These are items that can be used to dye sheep, wool blocks, or combined to make other dyes. The cross bow is just an advanced bow so it dosent make sense why it can not use enchants like flame or power, with out these enchants, the crossbow does alot less then the bow, while it may reload a millisecond faster with quickdraw 3 and have better crow control with mutlishot/pierce, most of the time when not dealing with a abnormally large zombie horde, you will only be fighting 1 or maybe 2 enemies at once and being able to hit 3/4 enemies wont make up for the vast damage difference they have. This is a hidden advancement, meaning that it can be viewed by the player only after completing it, regardless of if its child advancement(s), if any, have been completed. Kill five unique mobs with one crossbow shot Use a crossbow enchanted with Piercing to kill two phantoms with a single arrow shot. Insert an item in an enchanting table, then apply an enchantment. However, if combined using commands, both enchantments function as normal, with the two arrows added by the Multishot enchantment getting the effect as well. Piercing and Multishot are mutually exclusive. If commands are used to increase the enchantment level beyond 127, the piercing effect will stop working and will hit only one mob instead. Piercing has no effect on firework rockets fired from a crossbow. Arrows do not change direction upon piercing a mob, meaning they hit only mobs in the line of flight. Piercing ignores shields even when they are blocking. The shot arrows can still be retrieved after piercing a mob, allowing for infinite use of all arrow types, including spectral arrows and tipped arrows. Arrows shot from a Piercing crossbow can pass through the number of entities equal to the enchantment level (for a total of level + 1 entities damaged).
